Dreamt I was in a huge building and one of the floors had a hospital but i was on a different floor where the whole floor was catholic priests. I apparently asked about exorcisms and explained the weird paranormal stuff ive experienced in real life including oneiromancy. The Priest decided I needed an exorcism as it isnt normal to talk to the dead or demons or have prophetic dreams. I was taken to a room with a really comfortable bed and told to lie down as if i were to sleep. As he began the exorcism prayers, the lights on the other floors went out. a lot of darkness took over the floors. My lower right back side, felt burning hot. However I did not feel distressed or anything. Eventually he finished the rites and I was told I could go but as soon as I got to the car, whenever the dream would show me there was an immediate darkness cloud or fog behind me.
Dreams can often reflect our subconscious thoughts, fears, and feelings, and they may have multiple layers of meaning. Here are some interpretations based on the elements of your dream:
The Setting (Huge Building): Large buildings in dreams can symbolize the complexities of your mind or life. Different floors might represent different aspects of your life or personality, with the hospital and priests indicating a need for healing or spiritual guidance.
Catholic Priests and Exorcism: The presence of priests suggests themes of spirituality, authority, and moral guidance. Your inquiry about exorcisms could indicate concerns about negative influences—perhaps feeling overwhelmed by certain experiences or emotions. It may represent a desire for purification or seeking to rid yourself of burdens or negativity.
Communicating with the Dead/Psychic Experiences: Mentioning your experiences with oneiromancy (the ability to interpret dreams) could indicate a struggle with your spiritual identity. There might be a conflict between societal norms and your unique experiences, leading to fear or confusion about your gifts.
Comfortable Bed and Exorcism Prayers: The comfortable bed might symbolize a safe space, while the exorcism ritual reflects a confrontation with those fears or darker aspects of yourself. Despite the seriousness of the situation, not feeling distressed suggests a level of acceptance or readiness to face these challenges.
Darkness and Burning Sensation: Darkness in dreams often represents the unknown, fear, or aspects of life that are troubling. The burning sensation in your lower back could symbolize emotional pain, unresolved issues, or feeling burdened by responsibilities. However, since you did not feel distressed, it may suggest that you are at peace with this part of your identity or are aware of these feelings without being completely overwhelmed by them.
The Fog or Darkness Following You: This may symbolize that while you have attempted to confront and perhaps cleanse certain aspects of your life, the remnants of those issues still linger. The fog could represent unresolved fears or thoughts that follow you, indicating that even after an attempt at resolution, some parts of your experiences still need addressing.
Overall, your dream may suggest that you are navigating complex spiritual and emotional themes in your life. It could be a call to acknowledge and confront these experiences rather than allowing them to remain in the shadows. Moreover, it may also invite you to embrace your unique gifts and seek a balance between your spiritual insights and everyday life.
